Galdi, an Ethiopian goat-shepherd observed
that his animals were searching for food only in a specific area
and upon their return they were very energetic!
Being curious he decided to find out what had cause that phenomenon.
he collected some seeds and leaves and gave them to the monastery
of the region hoping to find some answers.
During their search, the monks used the plant in their pies and
then as a drink (by boiling the seeds), so they found a great
stimulation as well as some healing properties.
this way, coffee "entered" the everyday life of the
monks and simultaneously spread to the masses.
